Score: Dodworth 5, Abbey Lane 0
Man of the match: Jack Woodhouse.
Man of the match runner-up: Gokturk Demir.
Abbey Lane produced a below-par performance at Dodworth MW on Sunday and were duly punished.
The yellow and black wizards failed to turn out the performance from the previous week, when they pushed Young Owls all the way. Instead, they paid the price for a lacklustre and hap-hazard display, handing Dodworth an easy victory which they did not need to work for. Although most players cannot be faulted for their efforts, a lack of quality on the ball and poor decision making ultimately led to their downfall. A big improvement is needed for Sunday's six-pointed with Somersall.
Michael Fazakerley again went in goal and kept the score down with an impressive performance. Captain Jack Woodhouse led by example with plenty of heart and character in defence while Gokturk Demir again produced an all-action attempt to try and inspire his side. Both were named men of the match.
