Score: Handsworth 3, Abbey Lane 1
Scorer: Josh Oxley-Adams
Man of match: Jack Woodhouse and Michael Fazakerley
Abbey Lane produced a spirited performance at champions Handsworth.
The home side were 2-0 up after just five minutes and looked like coasting to a comfortable victory but Abbey showed great character to come back into the game. They missed a glorious chance to pull a goal back midway through the second half and after Handsworth scored a third with 10 minutes to go, Josh Oxley-Adams made amends for his earlier miss by heading home Reece Bennett's delightful free-kick. Abbey took plenty of heart from their performance. Bradley Wright caught the eye with an outstanding save, while Michael Fazakerley and Jack Woodhouse once again proved why they are the best centre back pairing in Sheffield with a whole-hearted display.
