Abbey Lane 1 Hallam Rangers 2 :(
In Game One Abbey lane played brilliantly and deserved their 1 - 1 result. Thomas Cropper opened the scoring early with a 15 yard thunderbolt. Hallam's goalkeeper was superb denying Thomas Cropper at least 3 or 4 goals, however it was going to be one of those days. The new team members played extremely well and the whole squad was in top form.
In the second game Abbey Lane were very unlucky with lots of chances hitting the crossbar and a post. Unfortunately Hallam Rangers won 1 - 0 but Abbey Lane put up a fantastic fight and didn't deserve to lose.
The whole squad are looking great for the rest of the season. This weeks Men of the Match were Thomas Cropper for his outstanding goal and Matthew Gray for some marvellous saves. See you all at training on Thursday. :)
