Match Report

The Girls have had a coule of good pre season friendlies so spirits were good entering this first challenge.

Once the first 5 mins of the game had settled Abbey started to dictate play and dominate a good portion of the game.
Abbey had sme good early chances with only great goal keeping stopping the opener!
Charlotte Bailey broke the deadlock after about 15mins with a cracking right field strike, leaving the goal keeper with no chance!
5 mins later Charlotte got herself into the same position as before and with the same result.... 2 - 0!

Abbeys defence was solid, Izzy, Matilda, and the Lucys were a force to be reckoned with.... "none shal pass"! seemed to be the order of the day.
Katy was solid in goal, showing positivity when coming out to claim the ball, and the goal kicks... one day she will score from one!!!

Kelle on the Right, and Tess on the left were running up and down the wings causing mayhem for the opposition, and they received some outstanding support from Hannah Olivia, Elle who were dominating the middle of the park.
Lilly and Charlotte proved to be a match for any defender causing some real issues for the defence...

The frist half drew to a close with the girls well on top and in good spirits.

The second half Rossington came out fighting and had some really good moments and attacked well.
Our defence was pushed and stretchd, but absorbed the ressure well.
Izzy showed she can mix it with the best and biggest strikers... earning her the Girl of the Game award.
About 15 mins into the 2nd half Kelle found herself in some space on the Right... took her chance, beating the keeper... then a deflection off the last defender finished the move putting the ball into the back of the net.

A great game, a great result and start to the season...

A big
WELL DONE GIRLS
