Match Report

A somewhat indifferent start by the girls saw some early pressure from Killamarsh, it appeared the girls were sleeping and not up for this game at all.
There were few good spells in the first half of the game, some solid goal keeping by Katie helped ease the frustration, combined with her fantastic goal kicking eased the pressure on the defence.
Olivia was solid in midfield always looking to pass and release the strike force!
Killamarsh were happy as the first half closed as they had the best of the half and the most chances.
After a half time reality check the determination seemed to come back, but not fast enough, as Killamarsh pushed through the middle and unleashed an unstoppable shot! The inevitable had happend and Abbey were behind.
This was the wake up call the girls needed.
Abbey now pushed forward with new found determination, Kelle put 2 goal kicks straight back to the goal keeper with some superb heading. Charlotte showed she could cross the ball as well as she can shoot, and nearly set up an early equalizer.
Finally Charlotte broke through the defence and slotted home a great shot, with Tess closing in to ensure it crossed the line.
Finally back on level terms the girls heads raised and they were finally on the attack and dominating posession.
Another great cross from Charlotte, Tess got on the end of it and Abbey were clear! But not out of danger...
Killamarsh were not defeated, and did not give up, they pushed and attacked all the way to the fnal whistle.
Not an easy 3 points by any means... but we will take them!

Well done, we got the result we needed!
